Hey there,

While yanking my 3rd party wiimote plus+nunchuck combo, I completely broke off the male side of the nunchuck. I opened it, barely remember which cable went where (1 3 5 - 2 4 6 diagram).

Can I open my wiimote, solder cables into the feet of the female socket ( https://imgur.com/mSCw9Y3 ) then use a guide to see which cables go where (vcc sdv scl things)

Or does the male or female plugs do in-switching or something? Is it straightforward? I don't want to short things...

Anyone?

Soldering the wires to the right place will "work".
There is also a device detect pin you'll have to short.

I saw some pictures. 4 isn't being used. and 3 is device detect.

On nunchuck itself, the last two wires are already shorted and soldered together (maybe it's a knock off thing, I don't know). Do I need to bridge the corresponding feet of the female socket on the wiimote? Or just soldering five cables on the feet is enough?
