I've been looking around and I THINK I've got it, but I'm not totally positive and I'd like to double check with you guys before I go and make any purchases.

I need this, right? And... Is that it? Besides the Wiimote/Nunchuck I mean. Do I need ANY other hardware to make this work?

If you want you could just get a normal bluetooth adapter, but yes that should work.

If you're running windows 10, Dolphin v 0.8325 and up will now recognize -TR wiimotes with the default generic Microsoft Bluetooth stack. We can all thank Jloehr for the compatibility.

You'll still need a Bluetooth adapter, of course.

Yes, the Mayflash DolphinBar and a controller are all you need to use Wiimotes with the Dolphin emulator. It's working for me on Windows 10 using the latest development build of Dolphin.

All you need is the latest development build and a Dolphin bar. Sure you can be a silly penny pincher and get a cheap BT adapter but that is dumb. A Dolphin bar is much nicer to use.

From what I've read an ordinary bluetooth adaptor should work fine. DolphinBar's biggest advantage for me was that it was a single USB port for bluetooth and sensor bar power.

And the fact that it brings you closer to wiimote functionality on a real Wii. In Mode 4 the Dolphin Bar allows you to just press a button on your wiimote, and it'll connect, Dolphin will pick it up, and you'll be good to go. Nice for HTPC setups and picking up extra people to play.

You can do this with a regular dongle too, but Dolphin gets weird with the continuous scanning whenever I did it on a regular one.

Please could someone help me out? I made my own thread but nobody is replying. It seems relevant to this one too.

Basically, I bought the Dolphin Bar device. I installed it. The Wiimote seems to work as a mouse in Mode 1 on the Dolphin Bar.

But in mode 4, "real wiimote" mode, I can't use the pointer in games.

In fact I don't think the wiimote is working in some games at all. Trauma Center SO won't let me skip the opening movies by pressing buttons.

Trauma Center New Blood lets me press buttons and they react normally. But I can't move the pointer dot. It stays in the centre of the screen when in the game and won't even twitch when I wave the wiimote around.

I am completely mystified. So many people are saying the Dolphin bar works great by simply plugging and playing.

In my experience on the other hand it's a piece of useless crap that doesn't work as intended at all, no matter what I do.

I have no idea what to do to fix this.
