The nunchuck has rumble? XD

make sure it is official

Yeah that is exactly how it works

Prolly plugs in where the normal sensor bar does

It depends on the game, but I would say yes. Some months ago I managed to connect my remote plus (it's the gold version, it worked fine for me), Skyward Sword calibrated the controller and then... it asked me to point to the screen. Now I see I could have used hybrid emulation, but whatever.

Some games benefit from a classic controller, like Xenoblade, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc. But other games require a wiimote + nunchuk to be able to play.

Just fyi despite the fact that LoZ: SS asks for a sensor bar, once you get in game you can use the motion+ for moving the cursor

Also I believe the gold wiimotes have motion+ but aren't' TR versions so they work alot easier XD

But a sensor bar is still recommended. This is one of the games in which I've always got probs without one.

Yeah, I knew that. I prefer it that way, so it doesn't matter if I point out of the screen.

It uses the sensor bar constantly during gameplay to recalibrate itself automatically. Playing it without a sensor bar gets weird fast.

Only if you have a sensor bar to calibrate it with. When you press down on the dpad is that it resets the "center" location based on what the pointer sees from the sensor bar.
