Sorry in advance because I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I just recently purchased skyward sword and had heard about the possibility of emulating it. When launching it on my wii and seeing how ugly it looked on my big-screen plasma HD, I thought I'd check it out and see if I could get it working on my laptop (ASUS g74 which runs Skyrim at very-high flawlessly).
Unfortunately, I found the faqs available to be mostly unhelpful to people like myself that are completely new to emulators, as much of the lingo makes no sense and there is not a faq that explains that. So here I am asking this dumb question: without a DVD-drive that supports wii-dumping, am I SOL for using dolphin? From what I understand, "dumping" is the process of ripping the game from the disc onto your hard drive and then loading it with dolphin. Without a disk drive that supports this, I would be out of options, correct? Since I only own a laptop, I can't exactly go out and change the disk-drive very easily.
If someone wants to be extra helpful, if they could confirm that my dvd-drive is incompatible, I would appreciate it. I could not find it either on lists of drives that are compatible or lists of drives that are incompatible.
