Well you could get a windows xp .iso and key through a certain swedish site if you know what I mean *Wink wink nudge nudge*. EVGA is a more reliable board manufacturer in my opinion (mostly the better warranty and customer support though) and a GTS 450 is quite a bit faster than a 6670. Since dolphin is one of the most demanding applications out there if you build a rig capable of running dolphin well it will handle pretty much anything that you throw at it. So in other words I know this is a lot of money but you'll have a pretty awesome rig when all is said and done.

I recently did a full guide on this ->http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23374
Here she is, the result of all my (your) work:
it seems to have gone alright. i've got the clock at 4.5ghz, the load temp varies from 60-74c, idle temps from 26-33c, and the voltage is near 1.37v. i'm experimenting with faster speeds but the voltage and temperatures seem to get significantly higher beyond 4.4ghz, 4.5 is the highest i can go without breaking 1.4 volts. i didn't change any voltages for the RAM or GPU, it didn't come up in the guides i looked at. i have (hopefully) one last noob question: i plugged the case fans into the motherboard using the 3-pin connectors and did not connect them directly to the PSU at all. i've read conflicting opinions about how to hook them up; some people think it's best to connect them to the PSU only and let them run at full all the time. mine are currently running at full anyway, so should i just unhook them from the MB and use the PSU or does it make no difference? at the very least it would give me something to do with those loose plugs that are hanging all over. (you can see a few above the GPU. seems dangerous) i haven't been able to play yet since my bluetooth dongle hasn't arrived, but i did rip my collection and boot a few games up. for the most part i'm able to get full speed, but some games (muramasa?!) did have some major slowdown issues. i assume i have to do a lot of configuring to work around it. the visuals are great, though. the improvement in resident evil 4 especially is unbelievable. i can't believe how shitty the wii looks in comparison, or that i ever thought the game looked good running on the original hardware. fun times ahead... thanks again to everyone who gave advice, i wouldn't have been able to put jack shit together without it. 06-08-2012, 08:12 AM
