Your 2nd gen i7 will perform almost the same as 2nd gen i5 . Of course , 3rd gen i5 is faster than both of them

i7 is faster than i5 in multi-threaded applications such as : handbrake (encoding software) and some others...
Dolphin is a dual core application...

"Dolphin does not support hyperthreading" is technically incorrect. Hyperthreading works fine, it just doesn't benefit the application in any way. "Dolphin doesn't benefit from hyperthreading" would be a better way to say it. The same thing goes for SLI/crossfire.

Thats why if you were buying a computer for Dolphin we would recommend i5 3570k over i7 3770k. There is really no difference between the two in Dolphin, and i5 is cheaper Big Grin

About the graphics card, 1.5GB on a GTX660? Is that some OEM version?
Because there are only 2GB versions of the GTX660.
