Looking at a phone with a Snapdragon 855 and 6GB of RAM I'm wondering if I could expect to run Dolphin on it. Preferably upscaled.

A Snapdragon 855 should be able to run many games (but not all). I personally use 2x internal resolution on my Snapdragon 855 phone and haven't ran into any performance problems yet (as long as I use OpenGL and dual core), but 3x internal resolution seems to be too much.

2x with may 3 in some lighter games would be perfect actually! Thanks for the info.

Very good performance but you could wait a bit for the upcoming SD 875 which might have enormous boost from 855 and 865. I have the Snapdragon 720G and the performance is actually close to a 855 so if you don't want to spend a lot on a flagship phone you can get a mid range for cheaper. It also runs Citra good just like 855

There is no way Snapdragon 720 is close to Snapdragon 855
