They nail burst loads to make the UI fluid, but any seriously demanding app that places a constant load quickly demonstrate how much a snapdragon chip can easily bog down. The 820 will be no exception.
I read that the 820 will be made with Samsung's 14nm process. So, hopefully that and it's better(well at least according to Qualcomm) power management translate to longer sustained loads and less throttling.
