I don't about anyone else, but I'm very excited to see how the new 820 and Exynos processors handle dolphin.  With the Samsung Galaxy S7(snapdragon 820 & exynos 8890) and LG's G5(snapdragon 820) just around the corner, I thought it would be interesting to talk about what performance can be expected from the new chipsets.  Of course, performance with dolphin will depend on the quality of qualcomm's and arm's drivers.  Here's hoping that they have their driver house in order. The new Adreno 530 looks like a BEAST.  This benchmark is from gsmarena.  You can find the article here.  Supposedly, it offers a 40 percent performance improvement over the 430, which might actually be the case if these scores are anything to go by.

The drivers are still awful.  And frankly the Mali T880 and Tegra X1 GPU will still be slapping Qualcomm silly.  Qualcomm can post all the numbers they want, but they've yet to cleanly nail the GPU performance.

Good luck holding that for more than a minute.

Maybe, there's hope for them yet? I recently got a Nexus 5 from my brother(thank you bro! this phone is awesome!) and with the drivers in android 5.1.1, most if not all the graphical glitches that plagued it seemed to be fixed. Gameplay is still pretty slow though(12-15 fps in SSBM) but, graphics are pretty good.

The rumors say the Exynos version of the S7 will have a T880MP12(twelve cores!) gpu. It'll be interesting to see how dolphin performs on that.

The N5 is a terrible example tbh.  It can't sustain performance for more than 20 seconds before throttling.  Qualcomm has NEVER good at sustained performance.  They nail burst loads to make the UI fluid,  but any seriously demanding app that places a constant load quickly demonstrate how much a snapdragon chip can easily bog down.  The 820 will be no exception.

That's not a rumor,  Samsung already officially confirmed the exynos 8890 has a T880 MP12.

The exact same as currently. No Mali device is GPU limited in Dolphin(It hardly gets above idle). The video driver bottleneck is too large to notice a difference there.
