Super Mario Galaxy 2 and F-Zero GX are running rather poorly on my computer. Oddly, SSBB seems to run pretty well. I have a relatively fast computer - Core i7-950 3.06Ghz, Radeon HD 5850, 8GB DDR3 RAM. PCSX2 runs pretty well, and most PC games I throw at it run pretty well. Why do these particular games run poorly?

Not sure about SMG2 but ever since there have been changes to the FIFO it pretty much killed F-ZERO's performance. There are older builds before these changes that make f-zero run really well.

Unfortunately I dont know which one but i guess if you check the game discussion thread it should mention it in there.

i know i had fzero running near perfect before... i tried to play it a couple days ago on a somewhere around a 6900 rev and it is completely hand grenaded. the black boxes under the cars were fixed but, i couldnt get 10 fps! so yeah... id try a 5k something rev.

6092 rev runs pretty good except on the Sand Ocean stages. Sometimes it will crash, so don't try to be all competitive in Expert mode. :/
If any of you find a better rev, could you tell me in a private message?

7107 or 5152 are the revs i use, f-zero runs brilliantly (unless i deliberately try and make it slow)

Im using one of the latest builds (7126) and F-Zero runs great on my rig so it should run fine on yours... Most of the time im at 60fps with the occasional drop to 50-55fps.

yeah, runs great here. i bought the pal version because you can run it in 50fps or 60fps... mainly just to test the dif. between the two on the emu. pal seems to run a little better. i get 5 more fps on the car selection screen and my vps always stays at 100%. in 60hz mode my vps speed percentage will drop in the high 80's which i dont see happening in the pal version. neway, so i was running it in pal mode for the screens.

as you can see i have correct shadowing and full speed. my issue before was that i was using lle. i didnt realize that using lle with audio throttle disabled would slow down the game so much.

what fps do you get on the car selection screen? my vps stays at a solid 100% but my fps goes down to like 20-24 on the car select screen.
