Hi, I just joined this forum to ask Why Super Mario Galaxy 2 is dropping to like 50 Fps while Im playing, I have the intel core i7 3770k overclocked to 4.6 GHz

Windows 7 64 bit
Geforce GTX680 factory overclocked

Show us your settings as screenshots. Click the Graphics button and look at the General, Enhancements tabs. Click the Config button and look at the General and Audio tabs. Also, right-click SMG2 in Dolphin and go to Properties. Those should be all of the screens we need to see from you.

Untick dump audio. It just saves the audio to a file and which eats up your harddrive space. You can delete the audio dump(s) in (default path) My Documents/Dump/Audio.
You have to check "Limit by FPS" if you're going to manually set the FPS. Set the framelimit back to auto if that doesn't help.
You can also tick VBeam Speed Hack in the game properties which should increase your performance a bit.

LLE on a separate thread isn't recommended for Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 as it'll cause some audio issues. Uncheck it to avoid the issues.

Could you specify in which galaxy and location you're getting the slowdowns? (screenshot would help) You should be able to play the game at 60FPS most of the time from what I remember.
I'm assuming you're using 4.0.1.

Wow, Im pretty sure you fixed my problem, Thanks alot Garteal!! The only place that i get slowdows now is on the mario starship (wich is very weird) Once again thank you Smile
