In the dropdown at the bottom you could try selecting your other card to see if it's doing anything. If so, then it's using the other card, if not, then it's using this card, but not to its full effect. It is running at full GPU clocks, although the memory isn't.

It was using the card in the screenshots. What could be causing this?

I'm not sure about abnormal. I have a i7-2600k CPU overclocked to 4.7GhZ (which is faster than any 4th generation Intel i7 stock out there for gaming according to Tom's Hardware) and while OpenGL does *work* at 30fps for Xenoblade Chronicles on Dolphin 4.0.1, it can't handle *any* anti-aliasing without frame drops. Also, OpenGL does get lag drops during fights unlike what the wiki says. DirectX9/11 are actually better for me since I can at least get good AA/AF and the frame drops are less frequent.

I would say to lower fps to 30 in the options as a settings cap, your eyes really can only perceive 30, the difference isn't really that big. Try the DX11 implementation and see if it is faster, though it may not since OpenGL actually functions well on NVidia cards for Dolphin according to a post I read.

Also, make sure you don't have an integrated graphics card running as well, I know there's issues with integrated graphics cards overriding the discrete. Alot of the new processors come with integrated graphics cards now. Open up Device Manager and see if there's an Intel HD Graphics somewhere, if so, disable it(*with care, I remember that when I disabled it on my laptop I had to hard shutdown via pulling the battery out since it Explorer was using the Intel by default and I got a black screen, it switched to using the discrete on restart)

I think the frame limit may work. Without a frame limit in Xenoblade Chronicles in 4.0.1, I get 15 frames per second. Yes, LOWER fps without the frame limit. But when I enable the frame limit, I get 30 fps. May be a bug with 4.0.1

It is abnormal. I can run Xenoblade Chronicles fine in the latest revision. I can set my IR to Auto (Window Size) and use 8x MSAA with no drops whatsoever. OpenGL performance will be dependent on your GPU and your drivers, so if you downclock your CPU and notice no change in performance, that indicates an issue with one of them (or both). OpenGL performance in general on Linux (for Nvidia GPUs) tends to be better than on Windows, so I've heard, so that may factor into your experience.

About XBC in particular, it is very picky with Framelimit options. Auto and unchecking "Limit by FPS" results in minimal drops and infrequent drops (28 at the lowest every now and then, like 3x an hour?). Also, lowering the FPS with Dolphin via the Framelimit will result in stuttering audio if you lower the Framelimit below the game's native fullspeed framerate, e.g. XBC @ 25 FPS (for 30 FPS NTSC versions of the game) will suffer slight audio chopping. For Dolphin to properly process audio, a game must be running fullspeed (not faster or slower) since audio emulation is synchronous with CPU emulation now.

@EvanOz85 - Try setting your IR and AA really high. If it is idling, this should force the GPU out of it.

I already saw it, but I'm still not sure if Dolphin is using that GTX 770 shown in GPU-Z. As AnyOldName said, GPU-Z can show you what the other one is doing (with the dropdown box). Simply because that's the first GPU GPU-Z shows you doesn't mean that's the one Dolphin is using, unless you tried to disable one GPU somehow. My advice remains the same, try increasing IR and AA. You'd be surprised; some people solve their issues just like that, e.g. bumping the IR from 2x to 3x because this gets the GPU out of idle clock rates.

Bumping up the IR and AA makes the game run at molasses speeds..I've tried every setting.

Could my GPU be faulty? I am positive that it was using the GPU in the screen shot.

Doubtful that it's faulty given that it's new, but if you want to test it, Furmark is a good way to stress and test your GPU.
