Question
i  Heart  this emulator but now i have 2 problems with it.

1. i use Development versions of the emulator but because the developers are too good  Smile  and always updating the software  Big Grin (i think without doing anything else Tongue lol) i have to download and configure the emulator every time if i need the latest version. Sad
So i wonder  Huh  if the developers would be kind enough to maker a auto updater executable with the option of patching the emulator files without affecting current configuration in the emulator as possible.

2.i think it would be awesome if the emulator support plugins and have a plugin manager in the emulator. specially with new Vulcan and DX12 it will be lot easier to switch between them and old DX version and develop more kind of tweaked plugins for specified games.

p.s - if you wondering what am i playing in a too old notebook like this, I Play Pirate Plunderrr in Dolphin Emulator with Average 35F
while 30 google chrome tabs  and windows explorer open. lol  Big Grin  Tongue

You don't have to reconfigure almost anything unless you are using the "portable.txt" method. More info here: https://es.dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/controlling-global-user-directory/?cr=es

I'm not a Dolphin developer, but that's 99.9999999999999999999% unlikely to happen. Dolphin doesn't use plugins on purpose, as a design choice. I'll let an expert talk about VideoCommon and the backends, because I'm not a dev, as I said before Tongue .

Dolphin used to have plugins, they were removed.

Thanks for the reply and i'm not a developer either, that's why i asked a dumb Q like this. lol well there's a unofficial DX 12 version with better performance now so i won't care about plugins anymore. and thanks for the tip about "portable.txt". i didn't know about that til now. Smile

Thanks for the info. i'd consider this build but new version have a unofficial DX12 build with a really nice performance boost.
so i think i'll stick with it for now. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-dolphin-dx12-backend

You shouldn't be using experimental and/or unofficial builds for just regular play. They have a lot more glitches and problems than regular Dolphin!
