I'm also not sure why you would assume one of the devs themselves doesn't get the issue, but anyway, my point stands.
I understand it is slow and in an older version it was faster... BUT is it STILL slow if you downgrade NOW back to that version or is it FAST again? If it is FAST again with the OLD version, then something in the NEW version might have broken... So to find out WHAT is wrong, we need to know WHERE and WHEN it broke, also known as BISECTING the error. That means YOU need to find out the EXACT version that broke it for you since the DEV him/herself doesn't see the issue, and thus cannot test it.
ALSO: Ubershaders + nVidia + OGL = Slower... so please use Ubershaders + nVidia + D3D11.... Or: NO-Ubershaders + nVidia + OGL...
Third: Did you try what I asked? Put Dolphin back to defaults and at 1x IR and no other changes and then see if it is still slow on the NEW version?
Fourth: What are the temperatures of your GPU + CPU when you are playing and the slowdowns occur: Having a similar laptop doesn't mean the same laptop, so it might be that your computer IS overheating/downclocking when playing Dolphin games whereas his isn't...
