Hi guys, I've just recently decided to give my old games a go using the newest dolphin Emulator. My favourite games of all time are the resident evil series. I try play resident evil Zero but the gameplay is quite slow. It's kind of playable, but it's definately not upto the speed it should be. Any suggestions how i could solve this? My PC should certainly be good enough to run it.

My specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
AMD FX8320 Processor at 4.4ghz (overclocked)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 GPU
16GB Ram

The cut scenes and opening doors etc seem to work fine at perfect speed, gameplay is the only issue really. Thanks for any help.

I don't know if this applies to yours specifically, but AMD CPUs are notoriously bad with Dolphin due to their low IPC. Also, are you using the latest dev version? They're way faster and more accurate than the current stable releases.

I've tried all different kinds of resolution, and i'm getting the same FPS in each one. I'm getting 50fps in video clips and cut scenes and opening doors, but gameplay it drops to 25fps. Somebody please help Sad

Are you by chance playing the PAL Resident Evil games? Can you tell me what the title bar says during gameplay?

I know Resident Evil 4 PAL runs at like 25 fps in-game, that's why I ask. I wanted to know what the VPS of the game was.

If you hold the B button from the moment the game starts up, some PAL games will show a prompt asking if you want to play the game in 60 Hz (30 fps) mode, but not all games have that option. It's worth a try, though. If RE is one of those games that just gets slowed down for the PAL release, then your only solution would be to buy an NTSC copy.
