Slightly maddening Wind Waker issue.

I first played this game when I was 11 years old on an 8 inch Zenith television. I'm 18 now, and with all this new technology, and with access to Dolphin, allowing me to play an already beautiful game in 1920x1080, it's an enhanced trip down memory lane.

Except I'm having a heart-breaking problem.

After the cut scene takes place in which you first meet the King of Red Lions (talking boat dude) who tells you to go get a sail for him, it fades to black... and never goes back to the game. I let it sit for maybe half an hour, and nothing. How can I fix this? Thanks

You have not told us anything about your settings or what revision your using. Until you do we cannot help you since we are not psychic.

Pardon me. Not sure what revision it is, but it's the latest version, Dolphin 2.0.

I'm using the DX9 graphics plugin, the only thing ticked is Fullscreen and Widescreen hack. Aspect ratio set to force 16:9 widescreen, resolution is 1920x1080, no anti-aliasing. Under 'Enhancements', the only thing I have ticked is EFB Scaled Copy. Under advanced I have Disable fog checked and Enable EFB copy to texture enabled. That's it for graphics.

Under Dolphin configuration i have dual core enabled, idle skipping enabled, HLE the IPL enabled, and JIT recompiler for the CPU. Oh, and Boomy theme. Something else I need to check?

Try checking/unchecking audio throttle in dsp settings. Also try opengl until you get past that part then switch back to directx. If that still doesn't work try using shift + F1 (I believe that is the default key combination for savestates) every couple of minutes until you get past it.

update dolphin first. you're on a really old build. check dolphin-emu.org or one of the others from the svn sub forum here.

This problem occurs with all builds. This has been confirmed several times in the game thread. I also would not advise him to update from 2.0 considering:

1. Wind waker runs better on older builds (not talking about performance, talking about accuracy and stability)
2. Dolphin 2.0 is the latest OFFICIAL version and still the most stable version of dolphin. Anything past 2.0/5186 is beta code and is not supported or recommended by the devs, I'm not saying newer revisions aren't better I'm saying they aren't always recommended. This is a game where 2.0 is strongly recommended over newer builds.

Also, 2.0 is not that old!
