Hey guys, I know this topic has been done to death, but I really need some help. My tv is terrible and it will be hard to play skyward sword on it, so I really want this to work. Dodgy Anyways, Skyward Sword has begun to run slowly. It was fine for the first couple hours of the game, and once they let me loose in skyloft the FPS started tanking. My pc specs are below, not the best, but not bad either. Those 2 graphics cards usually give me the extra kick I need to overcome the old CPU. Also, here is my list of settings and emulator version I am using.

Dolphin 3.0
Direct3D9 (my pc isn't capable of direct3d11)
Internal Resolution 1x native (640x528)
Anti-Aliasing None
Anistropic Filtering 1x (I have also tried 16x, but nothing in between)
Scaled EFB copy checked (might be a problem?)

That's the only important settings I can think of, let me know if you guys need more info. I so very much appreciate any help!
Forgot to add I'm running Windows 7 Pro SP1

The old Revision 7719M woks great with SS.

The settings I use are External Frame Buffer disabled and the EFB copies set to Virtual but not RAM.
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
GPU: AMD HD 6870
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Running Dolphin x64 on Windows 8.1

As Fennecat stated r7719M is one of the best revisions to use for this game.
3.0 and forward have the Depth of Field issues which I'm 100% certain that you get right now with 3.0 despite any settings made.

Direct3D9 should be OK with r7719M but could crash at some points, due to your graphic card situation Direct3D11 is not an option.
OpenGL might solve the Direct3D9 crashes that could occur.

Anyone got an idea on that? I can't find any reason for the screen to be blank in v7719. Unless it's the opengl setting. It's the only one I changed.

Ok, I got it to play, but even with v7719, the game is super super slow. (about 10 fps). Even the menu is ridiculously slow. Any other suggestions?

so the recommended settings are EFB copies set to ram only, uncheck the 'skip EFB access from CPU', uncheck cache display lists, no AA, 2x-16x anisotropic filtering, and direct3d 11 backend. directx 9 is going to have problems.

but even if you get it running.. if you can only play it at wii resolution why bother playing through dolphin? just use a wii! when i brought the game home and booted it up at native resolution i was depressed over how awful it looked. i have a gtx 580 and that allows me to render the game at 3 times the native resolution and maintain 30 fps (which is all the game allows). and it looks fantastic.

My tv is practically useless, and the game looks terrible on it. The reason I am using dolphin is because my monitor is simply better than my tv, and I suppose I could buy a component to dvi cable (if one exists) but I was trying to avoid spending more money.

Also, my computer doesn't support Direct3d11 Sad I'm starting to think I may just be screwed...
Composite to dvi I meant
