Hello,

Can you explain to me how to install it properly? Can you give me a link for the SweetFX download? I didn't find it on your download page.

I would like to try this custom texture pack but I'm a newbie :p
Thanks!

Edit : Is it really worth it though? It seems that this project was abandoned finally?

Hi Dart,

The SweetFX profile is hiding at the very bottom of the downloads page:
https://skyward-sword-remastered.tumblr.com/download

The most basic I can make this for you is this:
To install the texture pack, unzip the downloaded file in Documents -> Dolphin -> Load -> Textures so that there is now an unzipped folder called SOUE01 or similar inside the textures folder.

Also the SweetFX profile is not super necessary. It also might be a bit old and not perfectly compatible with the latest versions of ReShade
It's worth a shot anyway and there are plenty of tutorials on how to do set up SweetFX/ReShade

To answer your last point, I think despite the project being stopped where it is at the moment that this pack is still absolutely worth downloading since a load of great UI and other general texture changes have been implemented which really spruce up the whole look of the game

Ok, I just spent about 3 hours trying to get the DOF Gecko code to work. I tried the latest stable release of dolphin (like two years old)(5.0), I tried the latest dev release (5.0-11401), I tried the last version of dolphin that supported projection hacks (5.0-6858).
I tried changing the code to be a higher value and a lower value. I verified that cheats were active and tried all the different graphic backends. After all that pain, I booted it up in the latest version of Ishiiruka-Dolphin (Ishiiruka-1099) and bam the Gecko code worked.
If anyone has any insight as to why my 5.0 versions weren't working, or what versions definitely do work, please tell. It's been a painful afternoon.
[EDIT] I'm an idiot, it doesn't work with Ishiiruka either. I accidentally had the old dof hack enabled. Gonna delete the whole user dolphin folder to try and fix it Sad
[EDIT2] I have deleted and reinstalled every file related to dolphin and it still doesn't work. I see 3 potential reasons why this doesn't work:
1. The Gecko code is not compatible with my Skyward Sword file (Mine is USA 1.02, which *should* be NTSC).
2. The Gecko code doesn't work with any of the modern 5.0 builds (again, what versions are working for you guys?)
3. There is some mysterious graphics driver issue that somehow only manifests itself as an inability to enable the DOF Hack.

Same. The code at the beginning of this thread didn't do anything either, so I would very much be interested to see how other users were able to get this to work

The last version that supports the original code is 5.0-6858.
This messes up the reticle though. What did work for me was 3dMigoto, which allows you to hijack the shader rendering mechanic in dolphin. I cycled through all of them and found the dof effect one, which I then copied the code of to disable.
Good luck!

So I'm definitely excited to give this a shot, but I have never (for the life of me) been able to figure out how to get SweetFX installed/working. Can anyone help with that?

What percentage shall i reduce the file resolution so that it is suitable for 1080 or 1440? I downscale all 4K texture packs here so it can prefetch it into 3.5GB RAM available to my iPad Pro 2020 in DolphinIOS. I can’t render at 4K anyway and the screen is not that high of a resolution.

I'm trying to figure out how to disable the depth of field. So the gecko code or projection hack don't work anymore and it seems like the only way to do this is go back to an older version of Dolphin, or use 3dMigoto. Can anyone run me through some quick steps on how to use 3dMigoto to disable DOF? I'm sure it would be very helpful to anyone wanting to play this game going forward. Thanks in advance.
