Hey all, I've got an issue with Skyward Sword, it only occurs after loading a save state. Once a save state has been loaded, when attempting to progress to another area in the game, the game will freeze (when the screen goes black as it is loading) and the audio will start to stutter forever (da-da-da-da-da-dam, etc, forever).
I've tried a bunch of different graphical configurations, including:
Changing the renderer
Changing the CPU emulator
Changing the Dual Core/Idle Skipping settings
Changing all of the hacks, enabling and disabling them one by one
Changing the DSP engine
None of these work, so I think the problem lies somewhere else.
I believe the problem is when loading a save state, the frame rate is lowered temporarily, which causes offsetting of the audio/video. Occasionally when loading a state, the audio overlaps itself in 2 or more threads, meaning I hear the song playing, and the song playing again but 3-5 seconds behind the first track. Once the Save State is loaded, there is no method I have found to correct the problem except for just not using Save States.
I am running Dolphin 3.0.766, i7 980 @3.33ghz, 24GB RAM, GTX 580@3GB, and Skyward Sword runs at a solid 30 FPS (when FPS locked).
If someone knows how to fix it, much appreciated.
