My specs:

GeForce GTX 460
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6700 2.66GHz
4GB RAM (3.25GB usable)

Using Dolphin r7719.

I've booted up the game, and while it does work, it's very laggy and the sound is choppy. I haven't messed around the settings because i have no idea what to enable/disable.

I've heard that some older Dolphin versions work better with this game, but i'm not sure which ones.

Is there a way for me to run this game perfect/near perfect with my specs, and if so, could you provide what the best version of Dolphin is, and what settings are best to use for this game.

Thanks.

You won't get it any better. Look up the game thread. It's impossible or nearly impossible to play this game relatively glitch/problem free.

Damn, that sucks. Is the Gamecube version much different/better than the Dreamcast one? If not, i might just play the Dreamcast version.

You got me. I'm sure gamecube reviews of the game will talk about the differences.

this helped me

DSP HLE emulation (fast)
untick enable audio throttle

EFB copies to texture

enable dual core
enable idle skipping
framelimit 60
tick limit by FPS
JIT recompiler

Accurate Vbeam emulation
Speed up disk transfer rate

im getting 150% speed in cutscenes and map, 200% in battles and the sound is less glitchy.

for me it took few tries before the game would fully boot,

also using PAL version

My specs:

phenomII 1090t @ 3.7ghz
msi 890FXA-GD70
xfx 5850 BE
8GB RAM @ 1333mhz

[PGP] "per game" emulator settings
pfff, i can clock higher with frozen camel piss!!!!!

to get audio to work properly you need to use LLE audio, you could always overclock your cpu i have my i7 clocked from 2.8 to 3.4ghz at the moment, but i dont know if your 2.66 will reach 3.4ghz without some major heat issues
Intel core i7 2600k 4.3GHz corsair h100: gigabyte windforce x3 GTX 670 2gb 1150MHz
OCZ 750watt PSU : 4X4 16GB G skill ripjaws DDR3 1600mhz ram
NZXT Phantom red : ASUS p8z77 - v Pro
500GB western digital green : 64GB samsung 470 SSD :250GB HDD

You could try mylek's HLE hack for xenoblade as it improves 44.1 khz games and I believe SoA is one of them. Needs to be used with XAudio2. Aside from audio issues, there are/used to be broken shadows as far as I remember, does any gfx backend render them properly now?

Yeah, it seems everywhere you go there's issues with this game, which blows since it's one of my all time favorites. I personally just figured I'd give it a run with the audio muted, but go figure, I get stuck in the Temple of Prynn where it seems like the lava texture likes to make dolphin either crash or lock up. I had no issues with random encounters until I entered the two rooms with lava in which case I was forced to save state my way through it to avoid random encounters in the hope that I could play, which thanks to the boss being lava related, I cannot. Anyone know of a fix to that sucker? I tried using the prior mentioned settings, but all that did was make it faster, didn't fix the audio or the graphical mess up. Thanks in advance
