So after a few years of using my 8BitDo SN30 Pro 2 controllers for PC gaming, I found out that they had Gyromotion in them Tongue

Now, I'm trying to reduce the need of using my Wiimotes on my PC and use my SN30 Pro 2 for everything that I can. For games that simply needed to use Gyro, tilting and shaking, it was easy enough to make profiles for those games, the main issue is for pointing. I'm not trying to replace Wiimotes for shooters like the House of the Dead games, but I'm trying to replicate the Switch controls of Pikmin 3 Deluxe for New Player Control Pikmin 1 & 2 and the Switch controls of Metroid Prime Remastered for Metroid Prime Trilogy (2 & 3).

In short, I'm looking to emulated full pointer on the right analog stick as well as using Gyro for aiming assist. Is that even possible?

Cheers

Dolphin supports aiming using accel+gyro or aiming using a stick, but not both at once. If you want to use the former, make sure that Motion Input > Accelerometer and Motion Input > Gyroscope are both set up, then turn on Motion Input > Point > Enable.

Well I can tell you that mapping the my right analog stick with everything regarding real motion is turned off does not work. As for real motion, it sort of works if I physically rotate my controller, the cursor will move to a different corner of the screen.

Here's my motion control setup for New Play Control Pikmin:

You need to disable "Upright Wii Remote". That option means you're pointing the emulated Wii Remote at the ceiling, and the pointer won't work right if you do that.

Oh I see, I was thinking that using Wiimote + Nunchuk meant that the Wiimote had to be Upright. BTW, you've been downselling the emulator, I can use both the pointing simulation with both the gyro and right analog stick. Not quite like Pikmin 3 Deluxe since analog stick doesn't override the gyro controls, but close enough and will keep satisfy until Nintendo releases a Pikmin 1 + 2 Remastered bundle on the Switch.

Cheers mate!
