About brands: only genuine Nintendo Wiimotes are guaranteed to work, fake/3rd party brands are hit or miss (in most cases, miss). And today, your only Nintendo option will be the -TR version of Wii Remote Plus (and probably in a Wii U styled box, but they work fine with Dolphin). The old version (without motion plus integrated) is pretty hard to find and the MotionPlus accessory for it is even harder. Same with the non-TR version of Wii Remote Plus, the first remotes that came with FlingSmash/Zelda Skyward Sword bundles, for example, are sold out everywhere.
In case you get only the Wii Remote Plus to use with your computer's BT dongle, you would need to install Toshiba BT stack and it's shareware (unless your BT dongle is manufactured by Toshiba), expiring in 30 days. Also, Toshiba doesn't sell licenses anymore, so, after your trial ends, the BT stack stops working.
Said that, the best you can do is getting an official Wii Remote Plus from Nintendo and MayFlash Dolphin Bar. Since this bar has its own BT adapter, you won't need to use your computer's BT dongle or Toshiba stack, the setup will be fully plug and play (connect your Dolphin Bar into your computer, sync your remote with the Dolphin Bar, switch it to mode 4 and launch Dolphin, that's all).
And yes, Dolphin Bar doesn't work with 4.0.2 but you shouldn't be using something that old now. The current development builds fully support Dolphin Bar and are waaay faster than current stable version...
