Let's keep this thread in silent hill shall we?

People, play in d3d its awesomely fast, don't mind the flash light corruption, i barely use the flashlight.
Im at the principals office where there's a huge lag in OGL but not in d3d.
My Specs: AMD Phenom II x4 940 3.0ghz - w7/Ubuntu 11.04

Yup, my save up and vanished like a fart in the wind. That's just awesome.

BTW, is there an x64 version of 4682DisableBP_SafeTextureFix? It is the best one as all of the others aren't any faster or fix any bugs for me.

I have played the game 2 times and cleared it on the Wii. I can tell you if you have a chance to play it on there first... do it. It's worth it!

I am running using OpenGL, and have tried Native 720p,1080p

Running this game on Dolphin using all the posted versions, I have noticed that if you run the game on any thing other than Native you will get some messed up shadows. Yes 1080p or 720p looks nicer, but it does create glitches.

The game runs well for me except in the open areas with a lot going on, then it slows to about 60%.

e8400, 4 gig ram, GTX 260, Vista 64.

Also got rid of the wierd crashes by sticking to Native as well...

Half way through the game so far... usually have to have texture cache turned on...

Hope this thing runs at full speed glitch free some day. It's an amazing game...

I would play this on my Wii if I could, but the thing stopped reading games a few weeks ago so I am waiting to get a replacement and using Dolphin as a stop gap. All in all, it isn't too bad of an experience as Silent Hill is reasonably playable without any show stopping glitches. I am happy I bought the game though since I will want to play it on my Wii when I finally receive it.

update:

For some reason only the x64 is slow, x32 runs as fast as r4682

Just finished the game using Dolphine. The only real major complaints were some graphics glitches (mostly some odd textures, but this wasn't too often), and a couple lighting bits absent. Other than that it was just the slow down to 60% when in certain areas. I found it looked and ran best overall when running in Native resolution. Using OpenGl with safe texture cache.

Ok r4697 x64 is fucked up... tried other games i played in previous builds x64 and all of them worked chopped or slow in comparation, so if you are gona go for lattests one go for x32 (this one works fine)

Seeing as I already own the actual game, it looks like I'm gonna have to ask my buddy to lend me his Wii for a week or two. The glitches and slowdown just ruin it for me. I wouldn't mind if it was just some random game I was trying out but this is a Silent Hill game for crying out loud!

I still love this emulator though. It's awesome that I can try out some of the very rare gems for a system I would currently not even consider buying. Hopefully someone will find a way to apply the English patch to an ISO of Fatal Frame 4 as that game looks and runs incredibly well on Dolphin.

Besides froma slowdown time to time when there is heavy snow in open places this game runs pretty well.

About fatal frame (game works great and aplying a patch to an iso is not really that hard, but the patch is not ready yet, once it is i can asure it will be easy to convert)

Looks like regular revisions are good enough to run this game and even show all the letters as well now. The bad thing I'm getting this strange bug on 4697 and 4698 when Safe texture cache is on:
