My cpu usage fluctuates between 50, 67 and some times 70+ % so im not sure how it will do in that one. I don't even get full speed at some parts, fps drops mostly outside when snowing.. But when i get to the part where everything is frozen its all 57+ fps .

The beginning of the game and intros are pretty smooth.
My Specs: AMD Phenom II x4 940 3.0ghz - w7/Ubuntu 11.04

For me it workz the same way.... on this video it's perfectly visible that the game on r4681m is choppy and seriously slower than in r4664m (wich is silk smooth)

in r4681 whenever a cinematic is activated is hell on heart of how much frames it looks to cut :S

anyway, i will look on the new one
by the way, the video looks bad cuz he has EFB on REAL (wich causes that flashlight bug)

Well for me unless I have a lot of mobs on screen it works between 50 and 60fps (with vsync)
and with lots of snow around it goes to 40/45

please try 4682 and tell me if my fix for safe texture cache work.
any memleak ? or slowdown ?

The text works properly now but i can't notice any speed up or slowdowns.

Just reporting that when you load from a save state the recorded wiimote gestures don't seem to work... you have to load from a normal save.

Tested, r4682, works as smooth as r4664m with fixed letters and all

Slowdowns at open places with snowing motion and lots of monsters are still presented (it drops from 60 to 20/43 depending on how many things are on screen. (Still it does not happens that often)

Also i noticed that the game also slows down because of the sound (try runing in an open place and call cheryl's name and you will notice the slow down during the audio)

In resume, this Revision works better than 4681

Seems that button mashing when grabbed by a monster pretty much dooms you, for some reason when you press a key for the recorded gestures harry just moves back to the right and becomes unresponsive for 2-3 seconds (that's if no monster has grabbed you), But the gestures do work, you have to be careful and time it right, press it once and wait, if nothing happens press it again :S

Also i found this other bug on a bathroom mirror:

Actually it's not only in the bathroom... its on every reflecting layout (mirror's) and im pretty sure it's caused by EFB (like the pictures thing) cuz i don't remember seen the mirrors that way the first time i played it on r3798

by the way, on the game call to this number for a very kool kameo xD 2208330 (and dont worry is not an spoiler from latter in the game)

Ok im on the 6th nightmare and so far the game is still not hanging or freezing)
Also I tested those things out and yes i was right the problems with the mirrors are caused by the EFB (if you switch it to "REAL" the mirrors look the right way, on "hack" they are colored YEEEY!!!) :p

another interesting thing i found is that switching from hack to real efb then back to hack fucks up with other textures such as the streets of silent hill (or should i call them the streets of cellphone)
