We do require users fill in their PC/Android hardware specs, because that has historically helped when diagnosing problems with Dolphin. Years ago, it seemed like half of the discussions here were just trying to get basic information from users whenever we tried solving issues, hence the lengthy registration requirements there.

Although, the system doesn't care if junk information is entered, so users looking to speed up the registration process can but down anything, as long as it's not blank.
