So i got my new I-7920xm WOOOOOT anyhow while doing the INSANE install of ripping apart my lappy i had a little problem. Seems for some reason the screw circled by the red O has either stripped or for some reason wont sink down. now i booted up because i still had the three on the heat sink down tight but this fourth one will not sit. I'm getting the same temps i always have. in just curious HOW worried about this i should be. (Sorry if i should of posted this in a diff thread)

That would be my GPU heat sink.

So it doesnt appear to really make a difference. I re pasted when i took it off and im getting lower temps now (~58C idle and ~78C at full load) then i was before the re paste. so even with the stripped screw it looks like it was a good thing to do. I O'ced my CPU to 3.2 each core and i finally get 100% playability on SMG 1/2 Smile i even under clocked it from what i can max out at and still get 93-100% all the time. So that's awesome.

I've yet to see anyone (since I've been on the forums here) go through such lengths just to play Dolphin on a laptop. Big Grin

Congrats man, glad to see you're finally getting the results you want. You should change the thread title to something more victorious.

Yes, actually even with LLE Smile

Any advice on what to do with the heat sink. It makes me uncomfortable with it like that.

You sure? That normally takes 4.4 to 4.5 GHz of 2500k or 2600k, which you don't have.
