Sideways wiimote option doesn't work well [SOLVED]

Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched and could not find anyone else with this problem.

I'm trying to play Tetris Party Deluxe with my old Saitek pad, so I choose "sideways wiimote" in the options and assign the desired buttons. However, when I start a tetris game a circle appears in the screen, as if I was pointing a wiimote to it, which overrides the D-pad controls. I cannot make the circle go away: I tried removing all the assignments from "IR", assigning them to the mouse and moving it outside the window, etc. Nothing works, the emulator thinks I'm pointing a wiimote to the screen.

The only way I can play is if I assign a key to "Hide" and keep it pressed with my toe (seriously Big Grin). Of course this is not the optimal solution.

This happens in both windows and linux with the SVN builds. Dolphin 2.0 seems to work in windows (I haven't tried in linux), but it seems... slower. I'd rather find a way to play using the latest builds.

So, Is there any way to keep the wiimote NOT POINTED to the screen without having to press the Hide button constantly? Thanks.

It won't solve your problem, but it'll help not to keep that button pressed:

1. Right click on "Hide" (instead of left clicking to assign a new button)
2. At the bottom of the appearing window, above the buttons "Clear" and "Set" you'll see a textbox with some text that represents the button you have to press to keep the cursor hidden.
3. In front of that text, place an exclamation mark '!' (without the quotation marks ''). If for example you assigned "Click 0" to hide the cursor, the new text must look like "!Click 0" (without ""-marks)
The !-mark stands for "not" and means: Hide the cursor as long as button "Whatever" is NOT pressed.

Hope it helps.
Coincidence does not exist.
We only believe it does, because we never know what happens beyond our visions and thoughts.

Strange as it sounds, you need to enable "upright wiimote" and not sideways. Works perfectly then.
