Should I even bother (i3 2350m)

I've been seeing these wii sensors go really cheap, so I thought about getting one for my laptop setup to use touchmote with (I have windows 8). But as far as wii games go should I even bother? I have an hd3000, 8 gb of ram.

Which Wii games specifically do you want to play? Note for the record that the HD3000 will bottleneck you in a lot of games even at 1x IR, so most games might not run fullspeed because of that.

I don't know really, I always liked mario, mario kart and the zelda games. If most games are going to bottleneck though I might reconsider.

Don't bother , that CPU is too slow . Mario Galaxy need i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz + a powerful graphic card . Mario Kart Wii won't run at playable speed , Mario Kart DD won't run at full speed , Zelda WW may run at full speed , Zelda SS & Zelda TP won't run at playable/enjoyable speed (not even close)
