Should I be getting better speed?

Here are my specs:

core 2 extreme qx9650 overclocked @ 4.2 ghz
geforce gtx 470
4 gigs DDR3 ram
Windows 7 32-bit

I just got a new liquid cooler hoping the overclocking would help dolphin.

I could swear that a while back I was getting 30 fps in NMH2 with 3d vision ENABLED.

Right now, people are running dolphin on processors slower than mine and don't seem to be having problems. I want to get 60 fps in Super Mario Galaxy 2, if such a thing is possible. Maybe I need windows 7 64-bit? Or maybe I need a program to defrag, fix registry errors, etc. Or is this as fast as it's going to get? It's not just SMG2, games like Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel 2, and No More Heroes 2 are too slow to be playable, yet other people are playing them. Do I really need an i7?

Any help is appreciated.

should run smoth...

did you use dx9/11?

and jeah windows 7 64bit is nice...
4gb ram and 32bit only can use 3.2gb
but it also gives a little boost

64-bit Windows 7 is a beast for gaming (and dolphin too of course) and you're wasting a bit of your RAM with 32-bit anyways, so I'd suggest just installing 64-bit (and reformatting, since your PC could just be sluggish and cluttered)

And you can use your current W7 key so you do not have to buy Windows again, so basically it is free.

Actually didn't know that, but if that's true there really is no point not to do it.
