Haswell is 30% faster than Ivy Bridge in official Dolphin Benchmark
i3 4130 @ 3.4GHz is as fast as i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz

So a 3.9GHz G3258 should be faster than i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz
The reason why you get worse performance than your other machine is your r7 250
Mario Galaxy is a gpu demanding game and it has been proven before
If you don't believe me , you can pair gtx 660ti with G3258 and try again . I'm sure you will notice the difference
