They're on my backlog. I actually gave Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga a go, but it hasn't clicked yet. (Only tried it out to see how well it worked in PCSX2)
I'm looking forward working my way towards Persona 3 and 4 just to see what the hype etc is all about.

For Persona 3 I would get Persona 3 Portable for PSP. If you really want to use PCSX2 then you should get Persona 3 FES. Persona 4 is Persona 3 but even better. (Battles, Fusions, and S-links are better.) The main feature of Persona 3 and 4 are the S.Links. I'm currently playing through Persona 3 Portable on PPSSPP. I like to transfer my save back and forth between my PSP and my computer.

Yeah, I heard the portable version of Persona 3 was preferred over the PS2 version since it loads faster and has some changes to the maps iirc.
If it emulates good on the PPSSPP, I'll probably go with the portable version then.

Dude i can emulate it full speed on a 2.0ghz Athlon ii m300. Which is a mobile processor.

I was referring to the compatibility. I'm aware PPSSPP runs well on smartphones, tablets, etc.

Compatibility? PPSSPP has great compatibility from what i know. It's better than JPCSP. The only issue in Persona 3 Portable is texture glitches. I dunno about other games.

Both are awesome. I prefer Persona 3 FES to P3P. If you have never played Persona 3 before, I recommend Persona 3 FES. In Persona 3 FES, you can explore the areas in 3D. But in P3P, it's just a 2D map. The navigation is easier but the awesomeness is reduced a little bit. Also, P3P doesn't have in-game FMVs. Regarding the compatibility, PCSX2 is better. PPSSPP has some texture glitches for this game as DatKid20 mentioned.

Persona 4 is even better. It's an improved version of Persona 3 which is already a great game. You have to try them.

Tartarus is still in 3D. I don't really like the FMV's. Tongue Plus once you beat the game you can New Game+ to the opposite gender in P3P and get a second Susano-o. Also you can control your characters in P3P which is a godsend. Teammates do some really retarded moves if you don't control them sometimes.

The ability to control other characters is very good indeed. But I didn't have much problem when I was playing Persona 3 FES. Most of the times, changing the tactic got me the satisfactory result. And it's fun when that Mitsuru's skill worked. If I were to control her, I would rarely have used that skill.
