Stizzo, nice of you to leave out that you're pretty significantly underclocking the emulated CPU.
When you put spreading misleading information on top of all your other disregards of our forum rules, I don't want to bother dealing with you anymore. So bye. Thanks JMC for actually bothering to watch the dumb videos and pointing out their bullshit.
I went through every video posted using their and tried out the various games. I followed whatever settings I can. Other than having some of the old hacks that dolphin removed, I was unable to replicate any kind of noticeable performance boost. In fact, a few games were much slower.
That said, this build has some merits, it has a different GUI, some old hacks re=added in that users who don't care about waiting for good drivers would want, and some other small touches. But calling it a magic bullet for performance is misleading and incorrect, and there were a lot of inconsistencies in the video from real world performance. Unless someone can point out specific optimizations that this fork provides to make it faster, then you are likely being mislead. 01-03-2019, 05:34 AM
I don't want to dissuade users who absolutely want to run Dolphin on Android from using this build.
This build is very useful as it has code that, while will *never* be accepted upstream due to quality and hackiness issues, genuinely helps some people. Just please keep our global (and especially android specific) forum rules in mind. It helps us all keep support reasonable. Thanks. 01-05-2019, 12:34 PM
hey @weihuoya ,
can you maybe fix a glitch on need for speed underground (gamecube) where the performance goes down the drain for no apparent reason? If you play need for speed underground, go on freerace and select the first track you will notice that on some very specific places your FPS go down the drain. If you stop on the road and move your car like 10cm back and fort you can see he FPS go from 29 - 18 just like that despite being on bassicialy the same place. The GUI changes in this build are great and I also love the fact that this build emulates the Wiimote pointer using touchscreen. How about implementing those changes in the official build? 01-06-2019, 04:59 AM
@weihuoya
Are you planning to implement Wii MotionPlus support? Would be interesting to see Skyward Sword perf on SD845/SD855 01-06-2019, 07:09 AM

How about implementing those changes in the official build? These are both planned. Unifying the gamelist and making more options configurable in game and Wiimote Pointer using touchscreen are both more or less approved. Wiimote pointer is delayed due to a bug on Android where the Wii Remote pointer is upside down. It happens in this build too. 01-06-2019, 10:44 AM

For the Wii Remote pointer is upside down bug
just add button "x" to toggle IR direction but I can not be sure right now since I do not have my phone here with me. |
