Shaking emulated wiimote not working no matter what i try

I have literally been trying for hours to get the shake function to work. I've tried everything i could think to, and some things i looked up. NOTHING is working. Can someone help me? The dolphin version is 4.0, and the game in question is Sonic Unleashed Wii.

We only support 5.0 and newer, you'll need to have a 64-bit OS in order to use them.

Huh. When i downloaded it TODAY, that was the version it gave me when i went for the latest. I'lll try redownloading?
