Using periods and capitalization would be a start.
Digressing, not all AR codes are perfect, and the codes themselves are tantamount to game-specific hacks. It's quite possible that the AR code messes something up for Dolphin. If all you want to do is play in Expert Mode and Last Story, there are plenty of GC saves available online that have everything unlocked. Dolphin can import these saves into its emulated memory card (Tools -> Memory Card Manager (GC)), so it may achieve the same effect as using the cheats.
