Straight to the issue: SLOWDOWNS.

What settings should I use? Which DirectX is better? Problem is, I tried changing the settings from the lowest to the highest settings, yet there's no difference in speed between native or 1080p. There's some texture problems too on the character clothes.

Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Processor/CPU : Intel i3-2120 @ 3.30 GHz
Video Card/GPU : Nvidia GeForce 550Ti
Memory/RAM : 2GB RAM
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 3.0-765 svn

I get 30-28fps inside buildings rooms, but 15-10fps on the city or places with many character models. Dungeons seems to go a bit faster. Also like i just said, switching the graphics quality didn't improve any performance (aside disabling AA). Anyone know what are the optimal settings for The Last Story? Even Xenoblade runs better than this.

Read the wiki for the game where all your questions have been answered.

That's because your GPU is powerful enough to handle these settings.

Read below.
Quote:Clothes texture missing
Part of the body and clothes are missing. Use EFB copy to RAM to fix this.

NOTE: You can change it back to EFB to Texture once the game is running. Keep in mind that with EFB to Texture active, every time a new model is introduced, such as meeting a new character, going through a loading screen, equipping a new armour etc, it will not load. Switch to RAM before a new model is loaded to prevent it.
The "Enable Hotkeys" setting, found in the Graphics settings, under the Advanced tab, can be used to speed up this process. With hotkeys enabled, press "5" to toggle between EFB to Texture and EFB to Ram.

The Last Story is much more demanding than Xenoblade. You'll need a CPU comparable to mine, overclocked to run the game fullspeed most of the time.
If you want to play the game with better performance, you should read my post in the game thread.
Do know that any slowdowns after using the 6505 build and proper settings (meaning using EFB Copy to Texture for the best performance) is normal.

Tried the 6505 build... It's actually worse using that. The build I'm using runs much better for me.

Well anyway... Will there be a build optimized for the game? I know Xenoblade used to run not as good as it is now (yeah I know, TLS is more CPU demanding) so I wonder
if Dolphin would be optimized for this game.

I you have no idea, what he's talking about Tongue -> http://dolphin-emu.org/download/branches/

The hashless branch has a faster EFB Copies to RAM code (as fas as EFB Copies to Texture)

Setting the texture cache accuracy to middle (between Safe and Fast) seems to fix Yurick's clothing (the only character that seems to get texture glitches no matter what). Does this Hashless build have better speed than the current settings I'm using?

I don't notice any difference between hassless brand and official build (EFB to Ram - enable cache). Maybe it's just me
I have Vbeam option enabled
