I'm trying to set Four Swords Adventures to load a different controller profile for it's self automatically

I have made a profile called "FourSwords". I've gone into the game properties, clicked Edit Config, and entered the following lines

Code:
[Controls]
PadProfile1 = FourSwords

When I load the game it still uses the default profile I have set in Controller Settings.

I'm using this link for reference. I'm thinking maybe the syntax has been updated since then. Or maybe there's something else I need to add?

Thanks

You want to load a pad profile for player 2 and not for player 1? Then you should create a player profile for player 2, profiles are tied with a port. You can't use a player profile made for port 0 for port1.

I want to load a profile for player 1 when I play Four Swords Adventures. I have a profile called "Default" I use for most games, but I want to use a profile "FourSwords" when playing this game, and this game only. For all other games I want to continue using the "Default" profile.

I assume PadProfile1 sets the profile for the first player/controller.

The profile works if I go into the controller settings and load the FourSwords profile, but then I have to change it back  to Default when I play something else.

I hope that clears things up

I really don't see an issue. You're calling it properly. Have you gone back a couple builds to make sure that there's not a bug happening?

Yeah, my bad Big Grin .... And i tested it and indeed it seems not to work, my guess is that if it broke at some point is probably when the gamecube pad settings changed place in the dolphin ui. And apparently wasn't found sooner because profiles are mostly needed for wii... Wii profiles still work fine.

Edit: Nope, seems something else was in fault, Hotkey fixes #2010, will post an issue.

Thanks for looking into it Smile

I'll just wait for a fix. I'd rather stay on the version I have. I thought I was doing something wrong, or it was renamed to GCPadProfile1 or something like that.
