Serious slowdown in Resident Evil 4

I've checked it just now. The game soft freezes when Leon steps on the right switch with the default JIT recompiler. The JITIL recompiler fixes it, albeit at the cost of the framerate. Personally, I just make Ashley step on the switch for an easy workaround.

Update. The newest revision of Dolphin, 4.0-1478 says "Fix Wii games on JIT". I tried stepping on the right switch again in the castle, but the game still soft freezes (the emulator is still responsive though). What exactly was fixed?

Only on ARM CPUs. It shouldn't have any effect on x86 CPUs, I don't think.

Yeah; unfortunately that was for something else. I did accept the issue on the issue tracker, but I still haven't done enough to see what was wrong.
