Seperate Dolphin Netplay Server?

Hi folks,

I was wondering if it is possible to run a Dolphin Netplay server on my web server and have my friends and I connect to that instead of connecting to my actual home pc.
This would be similar to say, Minecraft, where I run the server on my web server and connect to it with the PC client.
My web server is running Ubuntu right now.

Is that possible? I have been trying to read up on a setup like this but I haven't found the right information and/or am very confused.

Thank you for any help.

Is there a reason you want to do this?

It's possible to run a traversal server which will negotiate the NAT hole punching between you and your friends, but no.

It's not possible to run a dedicated Dolphin lobby. It would needlessly complicate input and latency

It is possible to run the host on a different computer than all the clients. It's just laggier and they get the host settings. You can set them to 0 controllers and pause the emulator on that computer and it won't use resources though.
