That is a slight annoyance you need to rip games because I don't have a lot of storage on my computer to have 6 gig images sitting around. But I can work with it.
Also anyone have ever tried to export their saved game from or to their Wii?

If you own the game, downloading it IMO is not a crime, but your ISP may feel different. In general its not wise to get legal advice form a gaming forum, yeah know...Just Google it and form an option out of the common answer, or talk to a lawyer.

Your opinion doesn't really matter when it is the law...

Ripping falls user fair use. Downloading is piracy because you are downloading a copy of the game that you do not own.

Thank you for the advice for that. I really don't mind owning the disks and buying official wiimotes because I will use them with my Wii U when I get it some day. Axxer is right about fair use, it is the same that if you own a movie you can't download the digital copy. That's why they sometimes sell digital copies with blu-ray via iTunes, Vudu, or Ultra Violet or allow you a digital copy for a few bucks.
I understood from this forum that I don't need a Wii use this software but it looks like I will need one to to convert any wii games that I get... but it looks like the ripping process requires a wii so I would need to borrow someone's wii every time I buy a game to convert it. There isn't any risk installing the cleanrip channel is there?
As far as the remote. Does the sensor bar go through blu-tooth or do they include a wireless receiver? I would assume the wiimote itself goes through blutooth. Do the nunchucks and the wii fit board work fine on the Dolphin software?

There isn't any risk to using Cleanrip that I know of. A couple of times it crashed while ripping so my flash drive got corrupted; I just reformatted and went at it again. Nothing can happen to the Wii though.

An alternative is to use Rawdump and a special DVD drive with your PC (read about it here --> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=2900 ).
