I'm using 4.0-648 so I can play smash bros online, but it crashes with a segmentation fault when I run something a second time. So it would run fine the first time, then if i switch to another game or restart it, it crashes.
This is what it say when it crashes.

Code:

Use the latest development builds if you want less bugs.

That's a dc-netplay build. The original author should've been more specific, but there's no master 4.0-648, but there definitely is a dc-netplay 648.

Were the branch improvements ever incorporated to master?

There is a PR that accomplishes Dualcore Netplay, but it's not merged.

Just about an hour ago, GPU determinism was merged. Is that equivalent to the dc-netplay branch?

It's part of it. It lets you play Dualcore on Netplay. It doesn't have a lot of the special features of DC-netplay yet, though.
