Screen momentarily going blank when dolphin is running

I started running into a problem just earlier today where, if dolphin is open, my screen will repeatedly turn black for a few seconds before going back to normal for a while and flashing back to black again. This immediately ends once dolphin is closed and doesn't happen again until I open it again, and it continues even while playing a game. Dolphin has worked completely fine these past couple weeks, so I don't know why this is suddenly happening.

Something to note that might be useful is that this doesn't happen at all when I'm using the modded version of dolphin used for Mario Party Netplay, that one runs just fine with no problems.

Sounds like a driver crash. Have you considered making sure your drivers are updated? Can you try changing graphics backends maybe? It sounds like a hardware/software issue outside of Dolphin, as no program should be able to do that under normal conditions.
