Hi guys,
I've just started using dolphin (version 3.0-159). I've encountered an issue with every game I've tried- the screen flashes black every few seconds for a millisecond at a time. I'd really like to enjoy dolphin, but this makes it unplayable...
Here's my computer's specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 3.2 Gh
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6870
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7
I've tried many settings in dolphin without success, but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks for your help!

Try enabling External Frame Buffer and see if works...

Settings?

Have you tried xfb on virtual and real?

Edit: Damn you beat me to it.

Hey everybody,
Yeah, I've tried both real and virtual xfb with the same issue occurring... So far I've tried Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Animal crossing for the wii. I get the feeling that it might be an incompatibility with the graphics card, but i can't be sure

Have you updated GPU drivers? Which graphics backends are you using? Try 3.0

My GPU drivers are very up to date. Maybe I could try downgrading them. I tried DX9, 11 and openGL with the same effect. I also tried using the 3.0 version and the 32x system version with no success Sad

Well I'm back. I thought I'd give the emulator another go after updating it and trying a gamecube game this time (Twilight Princess). Alas with all my settings set according to the wiki page I still get the black screen flicker. Are there possibly any new resources out there for this problem? I'll have to give this a try on my laptop and see if it plays more nicely with the emulator.

Hi all, I'm here again. The latest revision of Dolphin still gives me the one black frame every few seconds. If I enable EFB it helps delay the flickering, but it does not go away. This is with all games with both the Wii and Gamecube. I've tried both real and virtual efb on all the front ends. I am on the latest drivers for my graphics card. I would really like to fix this issue :/ Any help is extremely appreciated!

Try to post a video so that we can see what your issue really looks like
