I have installed the beta version of Dolphin and set up the gamepad controls. If I want to test the development version I would have to save the game of the video games and also the settings of the gamepad. Where are the Wii and gamecube gamepad settings saved?

They are normally saved in a folder in your documents, you shouldn't need to do anything between versions.

The problem is that I cannot update the program normally from beta to development. I copied the 'files' folder to the Download folder. I have uninstalled Dolphin beta and installed Dolphin development and copied the 'files' folder to the same location but the controller setting is empty. No settings have been saved. 12-26-2021, 04:31 AM
Actually, your controller configuration is there and should work, it's just invisible in the user interface. Yes, this is very confusing, and it's on my list of things to fix.

I think the Wii one is WiimoteNew.ini and the Gamecube one should be GCPadNew.ini, is that correct? 12-26-2021, 05:28 AM

Controller settings are stored 49% in Dolphin.ini, 49% in a secret file you can't access, and also a tiny bit in WiimoteNew.ini. (GCPadNew.ini doesn't contain any user settings.) |
