I first discovered this issue trying to install the 20XX hack pack for Super Smash Brothers Melee, but I don't seem to have saved any data. I have GCI folder in slot A, yet when I go to the Memcard Manager and select MemoryCardA.USA no games show up. What's going on, and how can I fix it? Thank you.

Gci folders are just that, a folder. You just browse there in any old file explorer. The memcard manager is for the file you selected but that file is only written to if you select memory card.

Okay, I did that, set slot A to memory card, ran the game, got it to save and still nothing has been written into the file. I even set the file to .raw as it recommended.

A rare issue you may be having is that you don't have full read and write privileges for the Dolphin Emulator folder in Documents. Try running Dolphin as an Administrator (right click Dolphin.exe, run as admin)

Just tried that, nothing in the folder there as well. So let me get this straight, what I should be doing is having a memory card in slot A, running Dolphin as an admin, and in the memcard manager using MemoryCardA.USA.raw. Then my file for Melee should pop up in the memcard manager. Correct?

Wait, you're saying that there's no files in Dolphin Emulator?

If you mean that when I go to memcard manager, hit browse on memory card A, select MemoryCardA.USA or MemoryCardA.USA.raw, nothing pops up save the vertical lines and the categories (banner, title, etc.), then yes. That's exactly what's happening. I've played the game and gotten it to "save' but whatever's going on it doesn't seem to be saving to any relevant file.

I don't think it's in my documents folder. The folder that holds everything Dolphin related is on my desktop.

If you haven't changed it with a portable.text or registry, its in documents.
