Hello all!

I recently purchased a Steam Deck, and installed Dolphin on it through EmuDeck.

I've been playing Pokemon Battle Revolution, and wanted to edit the save data in my game so I can play more parts of the game with better pokemon. However, much to my surprise, whenever I went to the file location that Dolphin mentioned saves were stored, I could not find the save data anywhere. In fact, all of the folders in the Wii main file were empty, including the save state folder. I know for a fact that Dolphin is saving my save data and save states somehow, as it's able to reference them whenever I open the game.

When I right click on the game in the Dolphin menu to export the Wii save data, it gives an error and says it is unable to do so. Right clicking on the game in an attempt to pull up the containing folder results in nothing happening. Even when trying to export the save data of pokemon Colosseum, a gamecube game, it simply says no save data exists. Which, again, I know is not true, because it's able to load it when I open the game.

I've been searching the internet for hours looking for solutions, and I've come up dry. Anybody know of a possible solution? Maybe re-installing Dolphin? I'm afraid of losing my save data if i do that considering I cannot even find the save data to back it up.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like EmuDeck uses flatpak to install Dolphin, so maybe try checking "~/.var/app/org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/" folders. Alternatively, you could use the something like "find ~ -name SRAM.raw" in an terminal to try to find where Dolphin stores stuff.

This is likely a question best suited for the emudeck people, as it isn't a dolphin problem. But rather some oddity with however they're packaging up Dolphin. Looks like they have a discord listed on their site?

Don't use EmuDeck, that's basically step number 1. It's using Retroarch which has a very old and crappy version of Dolphin and we don't support it.

You should just use Discover and download Dolphin that way. That's our supported method for now.

But yea, we don't support forks so, I have to lock this now.
