Im new to emulators overall, and im really crappy at computers.
Anyways, ive got a quick question. Im playing animal crossing city folk for the wii. its a .wbfs file..

Anyways, im thinking i'd like to play this game over different computers.. and i was wondering how the saves will work for this. i cant find any saves in the /wii folder. but the game still saves.

Is it possible to just send and load a savestate on a different computer, and get the full save to that system? if not, where can i find my save file?

thanks!

PS: the game wont show in the dolphin menu thingy.. i have to open the file up from the " file " menu..
Im sorry if my thread if stupid.. im new to this!

You have to set a path to your games folder under Config -> Paths

What DefenderX said. Try looking around in the config in the future before creating a thread, please.

Allright, i changed the paths, and i managed to get the game to show up in the menu thingy! thanks!

now for another question... how exactly do the normal saves look? im not sure if im only managing to save savestates or actual normal saves.. in the picture below you can see my games folder. the RUUE01.wbfs is the game.. and the laststate is the savestate..
Is the RUUE01.s01 the " LEGIT " save?

and ONE final thing.. lets say i load this game up on a different computer.. am i going to be able to load the savestate alone and get the file working just like that? or do i have to load the normal save for it to work? ( im not sure how emulators work over different computers )

Thank you!

I don't think savestates can transfer between different computers.

Nope. "RUUE.s01" is your save-state in the F1 slot, whereas I think the "lastState.sav" is a save state file used for the "Undo Save State" feature (IIRC).
For the native save, just open Dolphin, find the game on your game list, right-click on it, and select "Open Wii save folder". This will open an explorer window, inside the folder where the save data for this game is contained (so you know which folder exactly in the NAND memory your data is saved in).
Basically, anything that normally would be saved on the NAND (not just game saves, by the way) is saved somewhere inside the User/Wii folder (which usually can be copied between different Dolphin builds).

Just copy the User/Wii/title folder, or at least the folder containing your game's save data. It's much more likely to work than if you copy save states and try to load 'em on another system/build (for example, 32-bit save-state on a 64-bit build). Plus, save states tend to be unstable and/or incompatible between fairly-different revisions, due to the way they're written which may vary...

Also, why does your second attached screenshot look like you're storing save states AND the WBFS file into the User/Wii folder (which contains folders like shared2, sys, title, etc)? This looks odd.
My computer specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x86
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @2.66Ghz - 2GB of DDR2 RAM (400Mhz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512
