Am using r5081 x64 intel compiler build. I read somewhere time ago that save states were fixed, however there are still problems.
So I tried to use them first on WII game: House of Dead:overkill few days ago.
Sometimes it worked but after not-so-many-uses I lost sound and upon another load I got usual opcode error window.
Now for Gamecube game: Fire Emblem, I play now. This seems much more stable, I never got crash or such thing. What randomly happens is that I loose sound after load. I use dsound interface, options like Dual Core are enabled. Maybe problem lies in sound plugin or its intercommunication, just though I should let you know although you probably know already.

we know Tongue the saves states were fixed as the wiimote is concerned (wiimote used to stop working after loading)
its somewhat unstable but it greatly depends on the game and when you create your save.

i actually trust them, they rarely crash a game for me.

Playing New Super Mario Bros on r5186 x64 now. Sometimes save state get corrupted and I get gfx FIFO out of bounds no matter how many tries. Other times I get sound corruption but state is good as on reseting Dolphin it load fine. I get also wiimote reconnect dialog which is annoying.

What works for me is to pause the game so that there is no action on the screen and then save the state. I think it helps avoid errors.

I make two save states every time I need to make them ( but as long as the windows shows that the save state have been saved correctly it should be fine )

BTW, can you make save states with software render plugin ?

No. The SW plugin does not support that, yet. It crashes the emulator.

Yeah thats what I started do too Wink hope its not just placebo.
Even if it shows "saved" it may do it in improper time and screw whole state it seems.

Ok yesterday I lost controls upon load but not reconnect dialog came - it was on paused menu screen btw. Maybe I'll have to load from game save.
