Save States & LLE

So basically, I was playing Mario Sunshine, and everything was great. I decided Hey, I want to play Wind Waker too (I just got a new processor). So I started playing Wind Waker and got past the mandatory long exposition, and noticed that there wasn't even any music, and a few missing sound effects.
So I obtained the LLE plugin (I guess), and I tried to restore the save state in Zelda, to no avail. Dolphin crashed.
I tried to do the same in Mario Sunshine (Which by the way, refuses to run with cheats enabled too, but that's a different story). I run the game, and load my save state. Dolphin immediately crashes.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Also if the info is somewhere, sorry I couldn't find it.

Savestates made with LLE don't work with HLE and vice versa.
