Hi here,

Thanks for this awesome emulator but I'm having an issue with saves.
Not save states, saves built in.

I am using latest build 4.0-4211-x64 but I tried with others and 4.0 and got the same results.

I had a problem with crashes so I followed advices from this forum and ran Dolphin as Administrator and changed NVDIA parameters for Dolphin.
I don't have crashes anymore \o/

But now the saves won't work, and they used to before I fixed the crashes.
I tried reverting back to running Dolphin not as an Administrator and got the same result.
I tried using another build, deleting my dolphin (and my documents) folders, using a fresh memory card and still no save.

I also tried changing the place of my memory card files but no sucess.

If you have any suggestions I'm all hear.
What I don't understand is that it used to work perfectly.

Thanks

Global user profile?
Are you logging in as another user when elevating, or same user?

I only have one user profile on this computer.
It's the one I'm using all the time.

Also just a precision, I do not have any error message when I save.
The game tells me it saved and I can load my save as long as I don't stop the emulation.

But when I stop the emulation and start the game again, my save is gone.
I still have acess to my "old" saves thought, but I cannot save my progression.

Also I tried with a fresh "memory card" and after quitting the game I couldn't see my save and the game was asking me to start over.

This really looks like a permission issue as if the memory card file was in "read only", but it is not the case and I'm using dolphin with admin rights.

Ok I think I found what was the problem.

I was using a USA Game Cube memory Card in slot A and a EUR Game Cube memory Card in slot B.
I removed the one from slot B and I can save again.

I guess I'll stick with US games from now on, or I'll switch the memory cards manually.

If you name the EUR card to "MemoryCardA.EUR.raw" and the USA card to "MemoryCardA.USA.raw" then it will use the region card when playing that region game (as in both can be named card A, and it will just use the proper card when using a EUR/USA game)

So I'm having a different issue. I just upgraded to the newest version of Dolphin after not playing for a while. I had massive frame rate issues so I deleted the dolphin settings file(s) in my documents - all except for "savestates". I have this file called 'lastState.sav" but none of my saves are pulling up. Also, I used to have graphics for the game icons within the dophin program, and some of the games are now named oddly. Any clue how to get my saves back and fix this? I still have the dolphin config files in my recycle bin.

You deleted your saves, apparently.
