Save Game Restore ?

Hello

I was attempting to back up my Xenosaga game saves at the path:

User\Wii\title\00010000\53583445\data

The Files are:

banner
monado01
monado02
monado03

I copied one of the files such that the directory contained:


banner
monado01
monado02
monado03
monado03.BAK


I then made the mistake of launching Dolphin. It seems the game attempted to load the forth file and corrupted the banner.

I deleted the file I created and relaunched; however, the game still lists no data in the three save slots.

I'm looking for a way to restore the save files; any help is appreciated.

Just as a general FYI : I found a collection of Xenosaga save games that had a file not far from where my lost saves were here:

This has effectively solved my problem.


I'd still be interested in an answer if someone has it however.

I don't think there is a way to restore your save games. The only mistake that you did with your backup was that you left the backup file in the same folder where the game can see it and kick up a stink. Next time move the backup out of the User/Wii tree altogether. I usually put my save games where dolphin.exe is (zipped up the whole folder where the game's save files are). I don't usually back up individual files like you did with monado03.
